The forthcoming fifth edition of Sharjah World Music Festival (SWMF 2018) will commemorate the 40th death anniversary of legendary Egyptian singer Abdul Halim Hafez.
Dubbed the ‘Dark-Skinned Nightingale,’ the iconic performer’s life will be celebrated at the festival with a special musical night held at The Flag Island Theatre.
To be held on the third night of the festival, the tribute performances will feature three Egyptian artists: Ahmad Effat, Mai Hassan and Mohammad Metwalli. The trio will be accompanied by the Cairo Opera House Orchestra, conducted by Mohammad Esmail Al Mouji. Read More via GulfNews.
