The Embassy of Nepal, Muscat, participated in the Muscat festival in Amerat Park, Muscat, through a Nepali stall yesterday.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal inaugurated the Nepali stall by lighting a traditional oil lamp. The embassy participated in the Muscat festival for the first time.
Various Nepali handicraft items such as unique Nepali wooden peacock windows, brass and bronze utensils, Nepali khukuri, dhakatopi and purses, Nepali tea, Pashmina, Nepali musical instruments like damphu, madal, sarangi etc along with fascinating photo-frames of the Mt Everest, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and other cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, among others, were put on display at the stall, read a press release issued by the embassy.
